The W family

More pictures of visiting family in Florida. It’s been so nice seeing everyone after being across the world for 3 years.
Maternity
I was honored to snap some maternity photos of my sister while visiting Florida over the holidays.

Happy birthday, Elisabeth!

Family Session
We are back in the States! I finally got to snuggle my nephew and snap some pictures of my sister’s sweet family. Japan will always have a piece of my heart but I’m so thankful to be close to family again.

Shinto Shrine in Sagamihara
As our Japanese adventure is coming to a close, we had to visit our family’s favorite shrine one last time. It’s so peaceful here.

Kotoku-in Buddha
Early Sunday morning my family and I boarded a bus and headed to find this giant Buddha statue. We were dropped off in the heart of Kamakura and sauntered down busy streets and winding roads, all while keeping track of three kids and hoping apple maps wouldn’t get us lost. (It did. Thankfully a kind Japanese woman pointed us in the right direction)We finally arrived and it was completely worth the trek! The Kotoku-in Temple in Kamakura, Japan is home to this giant Buddha. It was cast in 1252 and is hollow so we were able to go inside! There is also a shop that sells ice cream and souvenirs on site. Definitely worth the trip if you’re in the area!

Heiwa Kannon
This giant Buddha statue is more impressive in person than I could have imagined. It was carved after WWII as a way to memorialize the dead and to pray for world peace. There is actually a person on the stairs in the first picture if you zoom in.
